JR Communications Modem Purchase Terms:
Performance may vary depending on specific geographic location, interference, or environmental factors such as construction materials used in the building the device is housed in. JR Communications offers a cancellation period with a 14 day undamaged and unaltered modem return policy for a 20% restocking fee, and a service refund at: 50% of monthly service. Activation Fee is not refundable. The modem must be returned to the JR Communications Sales Affiliate, or customer must receive a Return Authorization number by contacting our office: 1-855-978-6464. The 14 day period begins the day of service activation. Internet modem is covered under a 12 month manufacturer warranty. Warranty includes 1 free replacement for manufacturer defects or failures. Modem damage due to misuse, negligence, or accidental damage is not covered under manufacturer warranty. Such damage after customer takes possession of the equipment is not eligible for return or warranty replacement. Replacement modems can be purchased at a discounted cost.
Bring Your Own Device Terms:
Bring Your Own Device service plans are non-refundable and JR Communications offers no included modem support. JR Communications is not responsible for hardware incompatibilities or software or configuration faults. JR Communications will provide customer with necessary information regarding allowing their data connection to communicate with the appropriate data servers via “APN” configuration data. JR Communications does not consult nor repair any BYOD setups and the customer takes sole responsibility for ensuring device compatibility and configuration needs before purchasing. If customer requests remote or on-site assistance with BYOD devices, JR Communications, at our discretion, may provide “best effort” support at standard JR Communications billable rates. JR Communications provides no warranties or guarantees that consulting or works performed on customers BYOD modem will work and all transactions and service & support charges are final regardless of whether your BYOD modem has been repaired.
Service Terms:
Service is deployed through JR Communications and directly provided by the strongest local data carrier. In the event of an outage, JR Communications will do its best to restore service in a timely manner. There are many reasons for an outage, including but not limited to: tower outage, power outage, Carrier network malfunction, etc. JR Communications is not responsible for carrier outage and no compensation will be offered for lost internet service. JR Communications is not responsible for (due to lack of internet service – including but not limited to): missing school, missing work, lost income, child care issues, etc. JR Communications will try to fix all issues remotely and may require customer to perform basic tasks such as logging into equipment with instructions or power cycling equipment. Sometimes service calls are necessary and JR Communications does not guarantee that technicians will be available in the exact timeframe as the customer hopes. Technology changes and it may be possible in the future that the equipment is outdated and needs to be replaced. JR Communications is not responsible for technology changing nor responsible for the cost of new equipment that the customer may incur. As the service with JR Communications is month to month, customer can cancel at any time at least one full business day before their billing date. If customer chooses to cancel after their billing date, their charges are not refundable as the internet service is pre-paid 30 days in advance. JR Communications (at their discretion) may choose to reallocate the customers internet line to another customer and then at that point may offer a partial or full refund. If for some reason internet service stops working, and JR Communications is unable to fix it to customers satisfaction this does not enable customer to seek a refund of equipment. Instead, JR Communications will do its best to try and find customer another internet solution. Customer agrees to hold JR Communications harmless in situations where the internet service stops working and JR Communications is unable to get the service restored. JR Communications will do its best but with technology constantly changing there are no guarantees. Service calls can take up to 7 business days to complete but are typically fulfilled in shorter time frames, depending on customer location. One service call per calendar year is free but additional service calls are billed at $99 UNLESS JR Communications (at our discretion) believes the issue is with the equipment or workmanship we sold the customer. Furthermore, if customer refuses to cooperate to perform basic duties with the equipment as part of a remote service call as described above JR Communications will charge a service call fee as described above if technician visit is necessary.
All service is Pre-Paid internet service on month to month terms. Service plan costs are subject to national carrier data rate changes, and all plans are subject to the carrier and plan “Fair Use” Policy. (https://jrcomm.us/jrci-fup). Service speeds are not guaranteed and may fluctuate. Service is not guaranteed to work with every online streaming platform for “live tv” services. Customers are entitled to receive 1 On Site service visit per year AFTER remote troubleshooting. Further service calls will be billed at $99 per service call.
JR Communications reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions as needed. First month’s service will be due at enrollment. Your first month’s subscription bill will include an activation and processing fee of $35. Your monthly service will re-bill on the same date as enrollment, for each recurring month. Service may be re-started after a cancellation, for a reconnect fee of $59 plus your service dues. Service cancellations MUST be submitted to support@jrcomm.us a minimum of 3 days before service renewal date to ensure renewal is stopped.. Not all plans are available in all areas. Available plans will be determined by your JR Communications Sales Affiliate.
Customer is required contact JR Communications corporate office for any concerns that arise regarding your billing account. JR Communications will gladly work with the customer to ensure that the billing arrangements outlined in the order enrollment are upheld with the utmost integrity. Failure to do so, and filing financial disputes constitutes fraud and will result in IMMEDIATE termination of service. If this occurs, after rectification, a standard reconnect fee will be assessed to restore the service and no credit will be given for any previously unused data on prior account connection.
